Public Relations and Management in Central Asia
Come experience the culture of Central Asia, as you interact with wonderful people who have intriguing stories to tell. Use your communications skills to capture what God is doing and how He is revealing His heart for the world in through His church.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assisting with putting together annual reports
Gathering stories from the health, sports, wheelchair and agriculture projects from the project managers and beneficiaries
Writing project reports
Simple Photography & short video clip
Developing a creative campaign
Proposed Weekly Schedule:
Two - three days working in an office environment
One or two mornings learning the local language and culture
Team prayer meetings in usually one night a week and team church another night or morning
Time to build local relationships that lead to Disciple Bible Study is encouraged for all our team members
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in communications.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Experience in planning and managing events.
All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship.
International internships are not paid positions and all financial needs should be covered with personal support.
Home-stay with a national is dependent on circumstances.
Pre-Field training happens through on-line materials and Skype sessions with coaches and other interns for a few weeks leading up departure date. Includes debriefing with coaches on return.
Dates and duration of internships are flexible and should be worked out with the team.
Qualification of Supervisor:
MA degree in Leadership & Management
Community development training & on-field experience.
Degree Credit available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors.
