Job Overview:

Use your Business Management skills in the USA while serving a Global Ministry. Get professional experience and oversight while participating in an international team community and learning about what God is doing around the world.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Implementing, managing, and completing projects across departments at OM USA.

  • Projects vary based on skill set and need, but can be in the following fields: finance, business development, marketing, fundraising, volunteer management and/or social entrepreneurship.

  • Duties include:

    •  Project management focused on organizational strategic initiatives

    • Business development for various departments

    • Business development for new global business ventures

    • Ownership of Marketing, accounting, HR, recruiting, and/or fundraising projects.

    • One international business trip.

    • Recruiting and volunteer management, supporting the volunteer and internship department.

Proposed weekly Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday:

    • 9:00 - Team devotions

    • 10:00 - Work starts at the base (different activities)

    • 12:30 - Lunch with the team

    • 1:30 - Work at the base or partner ministry (feeding, playing, and serving homeless community)

    • 5:00 – End of workday

  • Saturday: Day off OR possibly mobilization with an alternative day off for compensation

  • Sunday: possibly mobilization with an alternative day off for compensation OR attend a local church with a team member

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills required

  • Capable of excellent time management and executing projects.

Additional Info:

  • All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship

  • Spring, Summer and Fall semesters; 1-year options available as well

  • Resources and information are available if you are interested in serving in an affiliated OM overseas mission trip as a part of the internship.

  • Home-stay with a national is NOT possible

  • Apartment housing on the OM USA campus is included in an internship commitment, as well as a monthly stipend for living costs.

Qualifications of on-field supervisor:

  • As an intern, you will work directly with a professional in the field.

Accreditation:

  • Degree Credit available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors
