Master Database Programmer in Atlanta, GA
If you have a love for detail and are curious to see how technology can work on the mission field, check out OM Arts. This role will enable the easy record keeping and reporting of the OM Arts network of artists, partnering ministries and activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
So that the OM Arts database and its interface are launched effectively, I:
Thoroughly understand the needs of OM Arts regarding:
Launch a ‘proof of concept’ database and interface within the Office 365/SharePoint environment;
Develop a database that meets OM Arts’ needs for record keeping;
Develop an interface allowing for secure data-entry;
Develop a reporting feature that meets OM Arts’ reporting needs;
Import all OM Arts’ current data accurately;
Ensure, through testing that the database & interface
Is reasonably easy to learn and use,
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience developing databases.
Experience developing database interfaces.
Experience with or willingness to learn Microsoft SharePoint, Lists, PowerApps, etc.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Able to handle security sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship
Spring, Summer and Fall semesters; 1-year options available as well
Resources and information are available if you are interested in serving in an affiliated OM overseas mission trip as a part of the internship.
Home-stay with a national is NOT possible
Apartment housing on the OM USA campus is included in an internship commitment, as well as a monthly stipend for living costs.
Qualifications of on-field supervisor:
As an intern you will work directly for members of the OM Arts management team, who have experience both in the corporate world in their field, as well as in international nonprofit. You will receive vocational mentoring by senior level OM staff, as well as monthly meetings with OM Vice Presidents.
Degree Credit available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors.
