Incarnational Ministry in Spain
Experience Spanish culture while partnering with a local church through evangelism and discipleship. Step out in faith as you share your faith through English clubs, and grow in your skills using the Spanish language.
Responsibilities and Duties:
You will be based in La Vera, Spain. The area of ministry comprises a number of small towns in an agricultural region of western Spain. Living in a community atmosphere on country acreage, we blend into local lifestyle.
The training experience is designed to include:
Scripture study and courses related to church planting and church life (including mealtime discussions)
Emphasis on outreach to children and young people
Manual work on the land to help provide food and earn credibility with the locals
A ministry to Muslim immigrants, with which we cooperate.
The program and activities can be tailored to the abilities and interests and needs of the participants. Spanish language learning provided by means of the LAMP system.
Qualifications and Skills:
Use your English skills as a tool for evangelism
At least basic knowledge of Spanish will be very much appreciated
A desire to share the Gospel, some basic ministry training
All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship.
International internships are not paid positions and all financial needs should be covered with personal support.
Home-stay with a national is dependent on circumstances.
Pre-Field training happens through on-line materials and Skype sessions with coaches and other interns for a few weeks leading up departure date. Includes debriefing with coaches on return.
Dates and duration of internships are flexible, should be worked out with the team.
Qualifications of on-field supervisor:
Missionary couple in Spain for the last 46 years
They have been involved in church-planting, teaching/training, children and youth ministries, music, etc.
Degree Credit available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors.
