Cross-Cultural Ministry in Spain

Job Overview:

Experience Spanish culture while partnering with a local church through evangelism and discipleship. Step out in faith as you share your faith through English clubs, and grow in your skills using the Spanish language.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • You will be involved in English language teaching to kids or adolescents.

  • You will participate in the youth home group and their different activities. You will also take part of the church’s evangelism and discipleship program as needed

  • Also receive training in cross cultural relevant evangelism and discipleship. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least a basic level knowledge of the Spanish language, a medium level is preferred

  • Basic evangelism and discipleship training desired

  • Open to learn and practice cultural relevant ways for evangelizing young people.

Additional Info:

  • All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship.

  • International internships are not paid positions and all financial needs should be covered with personal support.

  • Home-stay with a national is dependent on circumstances.

  • Pre-Field training happens through on-line materials and Skype sessions with coaches and other interns for a few weeks leading up departure date. Includes debriefing with coaches on return.

  • Dates and duration of internships are flexible, should be worked out with the team.

Qualifications of on-field supervisor:

  • Degree in Modern Languages, with translation and linguistic studies

  • Church planter worker with her husband who has 20+ years’ experience in Spanish / Catalan ministry

Accreditation:

  • Degree Credit available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors.
