Business Development in Kosovo

Job Overview:

You would be responsible for researching and writing a business plan for field-run new ventures. Tasks include: market research, creating financial projections and writing of detailed business plans for new BAM/B4T (Business for Transformation) ventures.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Market research

  • Writing business plans that will fit with the interest needs of the NGO

  • Be involved with the team and wider field in prayer gatherings and training events, when appropriate

Proposed weekly Schedule:

  • 5 days involved in researching the Kosovar market and writing the business plan that will fit with the interest and needs of the NGO

  • 1 day involved in other ministries. Weekly team devotions and prayer time.

  • 1 day off

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Ideally has experience in research and data collection, business planning, and financial modeling

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 required

  • MBA preferred

Additional Info:

  • All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship.

  • International internships are not paid positions and all financial needs should be covered with personal support.

  • Pre-Field training happens through on-line materials and Skype sessions with coaches and other interns for a few weeks leading up departure date. Includes debriefing with coaches on return.

  • Dates and duration of internships are flexible, should be worked out with the team.

  • Home-stay with a national is dependent on circumstances.

Qualifications of on-field supervisor:

  • MBA from a top-ten program

  • 15 years of working experience:

    • 5 years of boutique management consulting experience

    • 5 years of strategy consulting at a top firm

    • 5 years of Business-as-Mission experience.

  • Currently works for the Global Sustainability Initiative.


  • Degree Credit available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors.
